Maxim Yachts have been building quality yachts for the last 12 years. The factory situated at Kobe Road, Bayhead in Durban, South Africa, utilises the latest equipment in the manufacture of high quality internationally designed Yachts which are all manufactured to C.E. Certification standards. Our range at present includes the 38ft and 52ft Sailing Catamarans & the 40ft and 64 ft Power Catamarans constructed utilising hand laid – up G.R.P., with multi layers of quadraxial glass roving, isophthalic and orthophthalic polyester resins, coupled with closed cell P.V.C. core vacuum bonded for stiffness. Epoxy wet preg vacuum consolidation layup is also an added option with Kevlar and Carbon utilised. The vacuum infusion process has been used by the Yard in numerous Projects.Both these processes consolidate the laminate giving optimum Resin to Glass ratios.
